How It Works

Borrow It Blackpool relies on the community and businesses to make it work! Whether that be through donations, sponsorships or volunteering.

How It Works

We receive donations from the community or sponsored new items from businesses/organisations to form an inventory of items that members can borrow.

All items donated receive a PAT and practical test to ensure they are in full working condition and are safe to use.

Items are then placed on our website where members can browse and book to borrow.

Please note, you must purchase a membership before you start borrowing with us and any items need to be ordered at least 48 hours prior to pick up.

When an item is ordered a list of collection days will be offered along with where the item is to be collected from.

Once the date is selected our team will ensure the item is clean, checked and in full working order ready for you to collect.

How It Works

On arrival members will be asked to sign a waiver stating they will use the item safely. Where applicable a manual on how to use the item will be provided along with safety equipment where necessary.

Once taken away all we ask of our members is to look after the item like it is their own and give it a little clean before returning.

We would also welcome members to share what they have been using their item for. Maybe they have been upcycling a piece of furniture through using one of our sanders or making new clothes from old by utilising a sewing machine. All these stories enable Borrow It to spread the word and spread the joy of sharing!
